The 3D model is now ready for texturing... First, prepare a front texture of the face. We do not have to worry about UV mapping because in SoftImage, we have a cool feature that other 3D packages don't have that is call RenderMap. Basically, what it do is to convert a planal mapping texture into a UV mapping texture. |

The texture here was edited from photograph to
bring photorealism out from the 3D model. I actually did a anime CG version of the
texture. |

Next, I'm going to talk about lightings. Here are some tips: The reflective light of the pupil will not
work if you just use one point light and expect the 2 pupils to reflect correctly. In
order to make it work, you must use Inclusive Lights and associate these lights with the
pupil. |

|
Hair is created using NURBS Grid. Texturing
can be done in layers to give the hair more depth and vibrant looks. |
