... That short made no sense. I thought your entry was pretty good, did you win anything?

No....
because this is based on VOTING only contest.
The more votes you can get, you win.

There wasn't any professional judges.

Maybe my circle of friends is not big enough.

The title is misleading, i thought it meant singapore short film wins something in a international competition.
And i agree with maligor, the short film is senseless. The modelling standard is ungraded(to put in a nice way). I can't judge the animation skill level because I'm not one by trade but no way is this gonna earn anyone a job in the industry, so giving them an award of $5k is a waste of money. Just being realistic here.

Too bad it's "VOTING to find the winner" competition.
I think I have wasted my time on this competition.

Lets just be honest here... I see that even at that website itself many ppl are flaming him. This shouldnt be called an animation competition, its far behind good work. We can appreciate the effort but $5ooo cash prize? i have seen many better videos there. Why was it left to Vote to find the winners? I pity those guys who did a much better work but without voters to win.

My knowledge of animation is not that excellent but i feel that those animation moves were bought from some Mo-cap or some other animation libraries.. random clips added randomly with no purpose. Oh wait.. i just came across this..
http://www.dsmedia.com.sg/animations.html

this is the website of the company which worked on the winning entry. watch the Sample Dance Animation Videos at the bottom. The same moves. It looks like a biped animation. simply they kept a library which they acquired somehow(really wonder if it was done by them) and used it on this competition and asked all their beloved friends to push the votings up.

Lack of originality , creativity and honesty.. this is where Nparks parked their $5000 on...

I guess the organiser is not listening.

There had been many professional competitions in the past that although it's by voting they will still shortlist the better entries before the voting for the public begins.

There were so many videos for the public to view. Who would actually view everyone of it before voting the "best" one?

There wasn't a public awarness on the the voting after the competition ended.
We are left by ourselves to "promote" our video/animation.
